Where the Data Flowers

This mixed-media piece, “Where the Data Flowers,” explores the collision of the tangible and the digital, the spiritual and the transactional. Set against the calming, intricate pattern of a mandala, the work layers fragments of modern life—credit cards, technological jargon, and data visualizations—to question how we find meaning and beauty in a world saturated with information. The central, translucent flower, touched with gold leaf, blooms directly from this sea of data.

It represents a delicate, organic emergence amidst the rigid structures of our digital age. The gold leaf, scattered like fragmented pixels or sacred offerings, highlights the inherent value and potential for beauty that can be found even in the most mundane or commercial aspects of our lives. The artwork serves as a visual meditation on our contemporary “paradigm.” It asks the viewer to consider where true growth and connection—the “flowers”—can emerge in an era defined by communication, shopping, and the relentless quantification of our existence. It is a search for the soul within the system, a testament to the enduring power of nature and human creativity to blossom in the most unexpected of places.
